The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for appointing a media buying and strategy agency for the 2025 season of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL). The EOI seeks to identify an agency capable of managing and executing media strategies across multiple platforms, aiming to maximize the reach and impact of IPL’s media presence.
Scope of Work
The BCCI is looking for an agency that can handle the media buying and strategy for IPL 2025 on a pan-India scale, covering a range of mediums, including:
- Television (TV);
- Radio;
- Digital;
- Print;
- Out-of-Home (OOH);
- Outdoor Innovations.
Proposal Submission Requirements
Agencies with the necessary experience will be asked to submit a detailed proposal, which should include:
- Media Plan and Strategy. A comprehensive media strategy for IPL 2025 within a budget of Rs. 30 crores (excluding taxes), including a breakdown of costs for each medium;
- Proof of Work. Documentation showcasing the agency’s in-house experience with media buying across TV, radio, digital, print, OOH, and outdoor innovations at a similar scale;
- Agency Cost Breakdown. A detailed breakdown of agency fees, costs, or commissions for each of the mediums involved;
- Market Rate Discounts. Information on any discounts the agency can offer from current market rates, particularly for bulk buying;
- Outdoor Innovation Ideas. Innovative concepts or ideas for outdoor media that could help enhance the IPL’s visibility and engagement with fans.
This EOI presents a valuable opportunity for media agencies to collaborate with the BCCI on one of the biggest sporting events in India.
